YouTube Voice Over

Record a YouTube voice over without a microphone, a quiet room or a retake. Write the script, generate it with one of 302 neural voices, download the MP3 and lay it under your edit — the whole loop takes minutes, not an afternoon.

Choose a voice that fits the channel

The voice is part of the channel identity. A calm, lower-register voice (Christopher, Guy, Steffan) suits tutorials and finance; a brighter voice (Aria, Jenny, Michelle) suits explainers and lifestyle. Pick one and keep it: viewers recognise the sound before they read the title.

Match the accent to the audience, not to you. en-US for a US audience, en-GB for the UK, en-AU for Australia. The same script in the wrong accent reads as imported and costs retention.

Write for the ear, not the page

Short sentences. One idea per sentence. Spell out numbers and abbreviations the way you want them read — write "twenty twenty-six" if that is the reading you need. Put a comma where you want a breath and a full stop where you want a beat.

Keep each generation under 5,000 characters — roughly six to eight minutes of speech — so a single bad line only costs you that paragraph, not the whole video.

A script structure that survives editing

Write one sentence per line. That single habit makes the script easy to generate in parts and easy to cut against visuals: each line becomes a clip, and each clip gets one visual change. A structure that works for most explainers is hook (15 seconds), context (30 seconds), three points (3-5 minutes), recap and call to action (30 seconds).

Generate the hook separately from the body. Hooks get rewritten more often than anything else, and regenerating one line is much cheaper than regenerating eight minutes of narration.

Mix it like a voice over

YouTube normalises loudness to roughly -14 LUFS. Generate the narration, then bring music down 15-20 dB under the voice instead of raising the voice. Cut the first and last 150 ms of silence so edits do not click.

Add captions from the same script — you already have the text, so the caption file is a copy-paste job rather than a transcription pass.

YouTube Voice Over FAQ

Is this YouTube voice over generator free?

Yes, including downloads. There is no account, no watermark and no per-video limit beyond 5,000 characters per request.

Will YouTube flag AI narration?

YouTube requires disclosure of realistic synthetic media in some cases, and monetisation policies change. Check the current rules for your format; synthetic narration over your own footage is common.

Can I monetise videos with this narration?

Monetisation depends on YouTube policy and on whether the video adds original value. The audio itself carries no restriction from us.

How do I keep the voice consistent across videos?

Use the same voice and language every time, and note the exact voice name. Voices are stable, so episode 20 sounds like episode 1.

Can I edit the narration after downloading?

Yes. The MP3 imports into any editor; cut on sentence boundaries and keep the music bed continuous underneath.
